Summer time

Stuart updates us his summer events

"Well its July and the year is passing so very quickly. a quick update on recent events. The Ipswich festival was small and well marked and some remarkable performers there. There was also the opportunity to pop up to Norwich and see Tim Van Eiken, now that was a show, Tim was supported by a four piece band from Cambridge, fantastic, also a young lady with a remarkable voice then a very young fella playing fiddle I asked Tim after the show what it was like being the eldest one on stage? , get in there.
There was also a visit to the folk club in Tenterden, with the charming Bob Kenwood. That was a great night."

Friday 29th June saw Stuart playing solo at Crabble Mill in Dover, which gave the local people a chance to hear his own material for the first time. Starting with the bitter "rest of your life" through the lovely "Uncle Wal" and finishing with the rousing FE5 The Happy Return, which was enhanced by the backing vocals of Steve and Lis (Ravenhill) and Kerry and Mandy of Kerry and Mandy fame. A fantastic night.

Watch out for the weekend 20/21/22 July the first Romney Marsh Festival at The Star pub, St Mary's in the Marsh
